Project Title
Being in the Sonic Karachi
Description
As an artist, I am compelled to explore and represent the world around me. In the digital age, this means engaging with the visual and auditory landscape of our cities. Through my work, I seek to go beyond the surface level and truly capture the essence of the sonic surroundings we interact with. My project focuses on the sonic environment of Karachi. I want you to see the city's diverse scape with open ears and listen to the elements that play the role of musicians in the daily orchestra. For this, I have chosen one of the oldest areas of the metropolis - Lyari. From languages to religion, Lyari encapsulates the range of stories within the city that mean so much to so many.
